What France has to offer...

France is not just about visiting the Eiffel Tower... there are many wonders to be discover

The street market for instance... with a variety of colors, flavors, and smells...

Art representations with deep meaning...

Or not so meaningful

Castles that will take your breath away...and make you wonder how being a member of a Royal family was..

(Cheverny Castle)

Or stories that will make you ponder whether or not it was worth it to be royal... Like Maria Antonie who preferred this

Instead of this...
Hall of mirrors - Versailles
Places where thousands of different stories have been created

I think France taught us that everything has a story behind it... and I hope we are closer to learn how to appreciate foreign cultures instead of judging and criticizing what might seeing odd to our inexpert eyes...
And I'd like to finish with my favorite view of the Mediterranean sea.
Exotic Gardens of Eze

Versailles and all its wonders

Beautiful!

Versailles is a city that started out as the location of the king's hunting lodge, but turned into a castle because the king preferred the location there instead of in Paris. He started adding on until it became incredibly beautiful and majestic!

But, if we're being honest, there were other parts of the palace I preferred.

Aside from the palace, there is another little castle called the Grand Trianon. I love this castle because it has all the charm of a castle, but is smaller and much more quaint.

The rooms were so beautiful. Original furnishings in bright bold colors!

My favorite part of Versailles, had to be Marie Antoinette's Hamlet.

This beautiful piece of heaven was built to remind of Marie Antoinette of her beloved home, Austria.

I LOVE daisies. They've been one of my favorite flowers since I was little. It was incredibly magical. I've never seen such a beautiful place. I was taking a picture of a daisy when a little butterfly decided to make it picture perfect by landing on it.

Isn't this just so beautiful? I can understand how Marie Antoinette would love coming here. There's a little path that leads you to all these little houses and in the back there is a little farm with farm animals.

So, if you are ever going to visit Versailles, please PLEASE do yourself a favor and go see the Hamlet. It was one of my favorite sites to see in France.

Cannes has Real Beaches

Cannes is such a beautiful place. There is history about the ages of the world, a beautiful beach with real sand and the excitement that the film festival was here.

In the museum, there is a tower which you can get a gorgeous view of the buildings, beach, and mountains all ensemble. Here I am with a couple of the boys on top of the tower.

There are beaches with sand, which is something not found in the majority of the beaches in Nice. A great place to sit down, catch rays, and just relax.

The Cannes Film Festival was commencing while we were there. There was a lot of people, nice cars, and excitement. Besides the Festival, Cannes is an amazing city with great shops. In one of the pastry shops I had the best chocolate tart. I dream of having another sometimes.

All in all, Cannes was a great place and a pleasant experience.
